OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCHOOLS | OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESS

The National Education Business Partnership Network would encourage schools and colleges to regard their local EBP as an invaluable resource in

raising educational standards
improving student motivation
enhancing the curriculum
preparing young people for life beyond school
providing high quality staff development in both curriculum areas and management expertise

Support can be found for:

Work Experience
Mentoring
visits to the workplace
Enterprise Activity
Professional Development for Teachers

If your local EBP cannot help you directly with support for a specific initiative - then almost certainly it will be available - via membership of its local EBLO Consortium - to signpost you to someone who can.

For advice on who your local contact is click on the Regions section on this site.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESS

The National EBP Network is equally anxious for the business community - both public and private sectors - to regard EBPs as a local resource to reinforce the need for a high quality motivated and skilled work-force that will be essential to ensure the UK's international competitiveness.

Businesses - both large and small - have identified the following business benefits from working with schools and colleges

Staff Recruitment
Staff Learning
Innovation
A positive Company Culture
High Community Profile
Gaining new Customers

This has been achieved by involvement IN WAYS APPROPRIATE TO EACH COMPANY - in activities such as:

hosting work experience
reading volunteers
mentoring schemes
curricular support for particular subjects
competitions
problem-solving challenge
